This 14-week project, completed during the Summer 2024 term, is part of the Exterior 5 and Interior 5 courses. The project not only integrates both exterior and interior design but also incorporates my understanding of physical model making.
It was selected for the ArtCenter Student Main Gallery.
Set in Taiwan, my home country, the project explores the future potential of Autonomous taxis, combining innovative design with a vision for autonomous transportation tailored to the unique needs of Taiwan.

Physical model
This term, creating a physical model is a mandatory component of Exterior 5, with the focus being on learning how to convert digital data into physical models. I have decided to use full 3D printing for my model and have also incorporated Interior 5 into the model production, even though the school doesn’t usually require interior modeling.
As a result, the process has been much more demanding than just designing and visualizing. To ensure I have enough time in the latter half of the semester to coordinate with printing vendors, as well as complete sanding, painting, and assembling all the parts, I must carefully calculate the time required for the entire design process and make the most efficient schedule.
This project makes it particularly challenging for me.
1:64 Hotwheels mainline model
Ah, yes. As a Hot Wheels enthusiast, I also created a highly detailed Mainline version of the model. I’ve always dreamed of seeing my designs become toys for children, so I took this opportunity to fulfill that dream. I paid meticulous attention to the packaging, going above and beyond the standards of an ordinary fan. Every detail, including the fonts, is an exact replica of Hot Wheels, all to meet my own collector's standards.
Last but not least, thank you for taking the time to review this entire project!

I’m honored that this project was selected for exhibition in the ArtCenter Student Main Gallery for Fall 2024.
I’m incredibly grateful for this recognition! I’d also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to my instructors, Geoffrey, Jose, and Ding Zeng, for their unwavering support and encouragement throughout the term.
Without their guidance, I wouldn’t have made it this far. Thank you all!
